"Vive
la joie!" - Long live Joy!
In
the 18th century this phrase served as allegory for the art of
pleasure, for liberty and indulgence, for hilarity in society and
aesthetics in conversation - in short: for life in style.
In
the 21st century enjoyment according to the Georgian example is being
revived, an attempt to start the philosophy of Libertinage afresh.
An
exquisite circle has entirely committed itself to 18th century
lifestyle. Within the scope of various festivities, which are based on
high demands, history is being paid tribute to.
On
these pages
reviews of past opera week ends, and previews of future opera visits
are represented.
