It is almost a tradition to visit the Markgravial Opera House in Bayreuth. The unique building is one of the last 18th century opera houses still open for public. Built by the order of Wilhelmine of Bayreuth, the sister of Frederic the Great and finished in 1748 it is a jewel amont all opera houses in Europe. The opera house in cominbation with the plays performed during the Bayreuther Barock make it a real time travel experience...Due to the upcoming anniversary in 2009 and the preparation for another large 18th century event this years opera will be a sm. However, we are planning a very special opera event to celebrate the 300th birthday of Markgrave Wilhelmine, Princess of Prussia in 2009!
