An Eveneing in the Princess Mansion

The unusual name of the mansion dates back to Princess Elisabeth Friederike Sophie of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, daughter to Margravine Wilhelmine, who resided here from 1734. Still today, the building is in private possession, and has been restored according to its original state.

After a brief welcome brought forth by Capt. Bolt...

...the buffet was opened. The latter was so rich, that it almost seemed untouched when the last guests arrived some time later. Furthermore, during the whole course of the evening there was no obvious insufficiency of crayfish, vegetables, salads or the risky cream Bismarcks in chocolate sauce...

Regrettably it is not possible to introduce all guests, who bestowed us with the pleasure of their company, with name and picture here, which is why the general atmosphere will be reflected with a small selection of impressions.

The dance was accompanied by the august sound of flute and cembalo - some guests succeeded in defending their reputation as formidable dancers while others left the dancefloor in defeat...



The whole mansion was illuminated by the warm light of dozens of candles, a scenery which flashlight pictures do not show properly. Therefore a small collection of images mirroring the golden shimmer of the atmosphere:
